Support Chicago's Olympic bid in 2016

Preserving Conservatism would like to officially announce its support for Chicago's Olympic bid in 2016. The bid has been active for a while now, and a lot has happened. Chicago advanced through the national competition by surpassing Los Angeles. Chicago advanced internationally and in June 2008, advanced to the final four and became a candidate city.

The games coming to Chicago would benefeit Chicago in many ways, especially as far as tourism goes. The games would be expensive and the city would have to cut funding in some other areas to bring the games here, which is definitely a negative. However, I think that once the world sees what a great city Chicago is in 2016, it would help future tourism greatly. This is why I support it. It is important that the city decides where to build their facilities wisely, though, so that neighborhoods will not be disrupted.

Chicago is perfect for the Olympics. The culture, diversity, and tradition are like no other place in the world. Chicago's unofficial motto is "Make No Small Plans." I think that motto fits perfectly in this situation.

Please join me and millions of others accross the world in supporting my home town of Chicago, Illinois, USA in their 2016 Olympic bid. To show your support, visit http://www.Chicago2016.org
